Delete your account

You can ask for it right here, without installing the app and without calling anyone. Here is what gets deleted, what does not, and how long it takes.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile: name, email, phone and photo.
  • Your messages and your files from our servers.
  • Your contacts and your groups.
  • Your sessions and the notifications to your devices.

What stays, and why

Only what the law requires us to keep: what backs an invoice, for six years, because the Commercial Code says so. And whatever is left in a backup until that backup expires, unused for anything. Voice is on neither list: it was never stored.

If your account is managed by your company, your school or your parish, tell them too: some of what is in that account may be theirs rather than yours, and they are the ones who decide about that data.

Write the email you sign in with. We will reply to that same address to confirm it is you before deleting anything — it is the only way to stop somebody deleting another person's account.

We do it within one month of your request, which is the deadline the European Regulation sets, and we tell you when it is done.
